Sevier students receive WSCC scholarships

MORRISTOWN - Thirty-eight Sevier County students have received academic scholarships to attend Walters State Community College.

Anthony Bucciero, a professional entertainment major from Sevierville, received the John and Ruby Fox Scholarship. Emily Campbell, a social work major from Seymour, received the Elemer and Charlotte Von Rostas Scholarship. Donald Chapman, a chemistry major from Sevierville, and Shellie Smitley, a general studies major from Sevierville, received First Tennessee Bank scholarships. Jamie Drever, a biology major from Sevierville, received the Presidential Scholarship.

      Rebekah Duncan, a psychology major from Sevierville, received a scholarship from the Thomas-Burchfiel Trust.  Chadwick Johnson, a hotel management major, and Corey Puckett, a general studies major from Seymour, received scholarships from the Sevier County Endowment. Christopher Romaine, a pre-medicine major from Kodak, also received a scholarship from the Sevier County Endowment.

      Tiffany Taylor received a scholarship from the Simpson Family Endowment. Jennifer Waser received a scholarship from Edward Franklin Porter Memorial Scholarship. Alex Stinnett, a chemistry major from Sevierville, received a Presidential Scholarship. Hannah White, a professional entertainment major from Sevierville, received the Professional Entertainment Scholarship.

      Academic performance scholarships were awarded to Christina Adams, a nursing major from Sevierville; Andria Ailes, an elementary education major from Pigeon Forge; Tekah Barbra, a general studies major from Seymour; Hannah Capps, an education major from Gatlinburg; Daniel Hatfield, a computer and information science major from Sevierville; Megan Haynes, a nursing major from Seymour; Heather Hickman, a physical therapist assistant major from Seymour; Sara Hinchey, an education major from Seymour; Daniel Hodges, a general studies major from Sevierville; and Vanessa Kelly, a general studies major from Sevierville.

      Also receiving academic performance scholarships are Cierra Knipp, a biology major from Gatlinburg; Matthew Lee, a pre-medicine major from Seymour; Rebecca Loveday, a pre-law major from Seymour: Marisa McClure, a general studies major from Sevierville; Ashley Mullen, a social work major from Sevierville; Samantha Nibbe, an elementary education major from Strawberry Plains; Corbin Palmer, a general studies major from Sevierville; Christopher Perry, a pre-engineering major from Sevierville;  and Katie Sturgeon, a general studies major from Sevierville.

      Also receiving academic performance scholarships were Jacob Shelton, an elementary education major from Sevierville; Telena Smith, a nursing major from Sevierville; Kelly Weed, an early childhood studies major from Seymour; Sarah Whaley, a biology major from Sevierville; and Alana Whiton, an early childhood education major from Sevierville.
