Sunset Concerts conclude in Townsend
Townsend, TN – Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center’s Sunset Concert Series concludes the 2008 season with a performance by Jenna & The Joneses on Saturday, October 11 at 7:00 pm. The concert will take place rain or shine in the Heritage Center’s newly renovated amphitheater which now has roof over the stage and all of the seating.
Voted Knoxville’s Best Blues Band for two years, Jenna & The Joneses’ repertoire also includes funky soul, jazzy R & B and Latin-flavored rock in addition to blues and boogie. Led by the vivacious and charismatic vocalist and conga-player Jenna Jefferson, Jenna & The Joneses are one of the most popular bands in East Tennessee. They have performed at such events and venues as the Hard Knox Blues Bash, Boomsday, Rockin’ the Docks in Lenoir City, Knoxville Civic Auditorium, the “Little Chicago Blues Festival” in Johnson City, the New Year’s Eve Party and “Alive After Five” at Knoxville Museum of Art, and the “International Blues Challenge” in Memphis.
