MORRISTOWN, Tenn. — The Walters State Community College Department of Athletics and Athletics Director Dr. Foster Chason have announced plans for the first annual Meet the Senators Day to be held on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 3 p.m. The event will be held at ‘Z’ Buda Gymnasium inside the Dr. Jack Campbell College Center on the Morristown campus.

The event will be an expansion of the previous ‘Road to Kansas’ events that were the tipoff to the basketball seasons for the Senators and Lady Senators.

This year, the scheduled activities have been expanded to include introducing the nationally ranked baseball and golf teams, as well as the softball team.

Both the basketball teams will have introductions from veteran coaches Dave Kragel and Bill Carlyle, as well as each team participating in skills such as three-point shootouts and a dunk contest from the men’s team. Both squads will hold a intrasquad scrimmage as well.

The Walters State cheerleading squad will also perform during intermissions at the event.

The event in open to all fans, and it will be free to the public.
