Sevier library system launches new fundraiser
SEVIER COUNTY, TN. The SCPLS Foundation and the Sevier County Public Library System is sponsoring a fundraiser, the “2,010 in 2010” Library Materials Project to purchase new materials for the new King Family Library scheduled to open spring 2010.
With a $25.00 contribution towards the “2,010 in 2010” sponsorship project, you can sponsor a new book, audio book, or DVD for the circulating collection of the new King Family Library. The goal of the project is to obtain 2,010 different items by the end of December 2010.
Sponsorships can be made in honor of or in memory of someone special. As a sponsor, you can choose the type of item and content area for your sponsorship. Each of the sponsored materials will have a bookplate placed in the front cover of the material identifying the donor’s name and the memoriam and/or honorarium information.
The project bookplate design, showing a young boy carefully balancing a stack of books on his head, was designed by local artist, Toby Ward, exclusively for the “2,010 in 2010” Library Materials Project.
The “2,010 in 2010” sponsorship form can be picked up at one of four locations:
· Sevier County Main Library at 321 Court Avenue, Sevierville
· SCPLS History Center at 315 Court Avenue in downtown Sevierville
