Knoxville, TN–On Friday, Nov. 27, at 6:00 p.m., the Tennessee Children’s Dance Ensemble (TCDE) will perform with the Redemption Church Children’s Choir onstage near Krutch Park in Market Square, Knoxville.  The lighting of the 38-foot Christmas tree, the 100,000 sparkling lights in the park, and all of the planned festivities will mark the beginning of the Christmas season for many people.

The TCDE is a nonprofit professional modern dance company comprised of twenty-four young dancers between the ages of 8 and 17 who have performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and in other venues around the United States, as well as in foreign locations such as Sri Lanka, Singapore, Taiwan, Norway, and the United Kingdom.  The dancers are under the direction of Irena Linn, artistic director, and Amy Wilson, associate artistic director.  For more information, contact Ms. Linn at 865-584-9636.
